回帖︰OVERNIGHT FROST PROMPTS CONCERNS
Fri 03 Dec 2010
Following the heavy overnight frost, where temperatures dipped to below minus eight, concerns surrounding areas of the Bloomfield Road playing surface have increased.
The pitch at Bloomfield Road has been covered with frost protection covers since the reserve game with Blackburn over a week ago but the severe frost on Thursday night has meant that large areas of the playing surface have become frozen.
The Seasiders ground staff have worked throughout the night with large hot air blowers in a bid to thaw out the problematic areas of the playing surface, however, last night's frost has meant that the problematic areas have increased.
The club has sourced additional hot air blowers and these are expected to be on site Friday lunchtime and once again the Seasiders ground staff will work throughout the night to ensure the eagerly anticipated game with Manchester United takes place.
The club are in regular contact with the Premier League, match officials and Manchester United and are providing them with updates on a regular basis.
A further update to supporters will be made later in the day via the club's official website.
