SSC Napoli completes the signing of Raul Albiol. The 27 year oldSpanish defender coming from Real Madrid signed a four-year contract.

Raul Albiol Tortajada was born in the Spanish town of Vilamarxant onSeptember 4th 1985. He made his debut in 2002 with Valencia Mestala,Valencia's satellite team, collecting 49 games and scoring 5 goals. In2004 he moved to Getafe, but played only 17 matches because of aninjury. He scored an important goals in that season's derby against RealMadrid. From 2005 to 2009 with Valencia he played 131 games in the Ligaand scored 6 goals. In 2009 he moved to Real Madrid where, in the lastfour seasons, he played 79 matches with one goal.
As for European Cups, between Valencia and Real Madrid, heplayed 49 matches (Intertoto Cup, Europa League-Uefa Cup and ChampionsLeague). His palmarés includes the 2011/12 Liga and 2012 SpanishSupercup with Real Madrid, both playing for Real Madrid, and two SpanishCups, one with Valencia in the 2007/08 season, and the other with RealMadrid, in the 2010/11 season. In 2003/04 he played one game in the UefaCup won by Valencia.
In addition to the 8 matches with Spain Under-21 national team,he played 40 matches with Spain, winning the 2008 and 2012 EuropeanChampionships and the 2010 World Cup.
