Cristiano free kick breaks boy’s wrist

FOOTIE superstar Cristiano Ronaldo left a Brit fan aged 11 in agony — bysmashing his wrist with a free kick.

Schoolboy Charlie Silverwood had been taken to see his team Bournemouth hostReal Madrid in a friendly.

His dad DUCKED as the ￡80million ex-Man United forward’s wayward35-yard rocket scorched into the stands — breaking his son’s wrist in twoplaces.

The lad was so determined not to miss the action he kept watching for theremaining 84 minutes — before going to hospital where X-rays revealed hisdouble fracture.
He faced an operation before being plastered.

Yesterday Charlie admitted: “It was very painful. I’ve told friends andthey cannot believe it. Ronaldo is the world’s most expensive player — andhe broke my arm.”

The youngster, from Christchurch in Dorset, added: “I could see the ballcoming towards me. It curled past the post and was going to hit my face — soI had to block it with my hand. My dad was sat next to me and ducked out ofthe way so I took the full force.”

His father Lee, also a Bournemouth fan, said: “It all happened in a blur.

“One minute we were watching Ronaldo stand over the ball and the next it wasflying towards Charlie.

“It must have been travelling at a rate of knots and hit Charlie right onthe wrist.”
