James McCarthy: Crystal Palace set to sign Everton midfielder

Crystal Palace are close to completing the signing of Republic of Ireland midfielder James McCarthy from Everton for £3m.

The 28-year-old travelled to London on Tuesday night and is due to have a medical and finalise personal terms on Wednesday.

He has a year left on his Everton contract.

McCarthy has made 133 appearances for the Toffees since joining from Wigan six years ago, scoring six goals.

Victor Camarasa to have Crystal Palace medical ahead of season-long loan

Victor Camarasa has arrived in south London for a medical ahead of a season-long loan at Crystal Palace.

Palace will have an option to buy the Real Betis midfielder for £15m at the end of the loan period.

Camarasa spent last season on loan at Cardiff where he made 32 appearances and scored five goals.

The 25-year-old returned to Betis after Neil Warnock's side were relegated from the Premier League and although Burnley were also interested in the midfielder, Palace look set to win the race for his signature.

Spanish midfielder Victor Camarasa has joined Crystal Palace on a one-year loan deal from La Liga side Real Betis, with the south London club also having an option to buy the 25-year old at the end of this season.
