Lazio president Claudio Lotito has said possibilities of selling Aleksandar Kolarov to Real Madrid are extinct.
The Serbian defender has been strongly linked with a switch to Real after Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini said his club were not manifesting an interest in the player.
And, while reports in Spain claim Real are staying ahead of the competition in the race to sign him with a high stakes bid, Lotito has responded, making it clear the rumours sit uncomfortably at Formello.
"?15 million for Kolarov? I won't even sell his boots for that price," he told the press, as reported by La Repubblica."He is not for sale, and we have not received any offers."
The chief remained defiant, vowing there are no reasons to sell the player.
"He is probably the best in the world in his position, and we don't need to sell him," he concluded.
Lotito's blast comes after Kolarov himself claimed to Serbian media that the president had given his ok for a Real Madrid switch.
