Official: Massimo Maccarone Joins Palermo
The striker has joined the Sicilian outfit...
Palermo have captured the signature of striker Massimo Maccarone from Siena, with the 30-year-old joining on a three-year deal, with the option to extend for a fourth season.
A statement on the club's official website, IlPalermocalcio.it read:
"U.S. Palermo announce that an agreement has been made with AC Siena to purchase striker Massimo Maccarone. The player was born in Galliate on September 6, 1979 and was purchased outright and has signed a three-year contract with an option for the fourth."
Maccarone has become the second striker to join the Rosanero after Mauricio Pinilla came across from Grosseto.
Maccarone scored over 40 goals for Siena in all competitions in his three seasons with the Tuscan outfit.
