Galliani confirms Papastathopoulos talksAC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has confirmed talks are in progress to sign Sokratis Papastathopoulos, but he denied they are working on a deal for Edin Dzeko.
After another disappointing season in Serie A and the Champions League, the Rossoneri have been linked with a number of transfer targets and reports in Greece have said Genoa defender Papastathopoulos is travelling to Milan for talks.
"The negotiations for Sokratis are ongoing, but they have not been completed yet," Galliani said. "We will see what happens as we are still negotiating."
Asked about Wolfsburg striker Dzeko, though, Galliani said: "No, there are no negotiations."
Galliani insisted, meanwhile, that Milan have not received any offers for Ronaldinho. The player's agent had already dismissed reports of a move to Flamengo.
"Ronaldinho is a Milan player and he will definitely play for Milan next season," he said. "No one has ever been in touch. Ronaldinho is coming back to Italy with his brother and up till now there has been no request to leave on his part and no offer in his regard.
"He has a contract with Milan and one without any fanciful clause that I read recently in the newspapers. I repeat: Dinho is a Milan player and he will play for Milan next season."
