Barcelona defender Eric Abidal will be discharged from hospital this Monday, 40 days after undergoing surgery, El Mundo Deportivo reports.
The Frenchman underwent a liver transplant at the Hospital Barcaclinic on April 10 and had since been working on his recovery.
Abidal has now been given the green light to leave the hospital, and will continue his rehabilitation at home with his family.
The former Olympique Lyonnais player underwent surgery in March 2011 to remove a tumour on his liver, and returned to match fitness in time to feature in last year's Champions League final win over Manchester United.
Abidal's discharge from hospital will come as a psychological boost for Barcelona ahead of the Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao on May 25.
