Juventus have announced the signing of Stephan Lichtsteiner from Lazio via a statement on their official website.
The note, released on Friday afternoon, reads:
"Juventus Football Club S.p.A. communicates to have perfected the accord with the club S.S. Lazio S.p.A. for the acquisition of Stephan Lichtsteiner for a ?10 million fee, payable in three years. Juventus have underwritten a four-year contract with the player."It is a move that has been long in the pipeline as negotiations with the Roman outfit over the 27-year-old have progressed steadily over the last two weeks.
After Juventus agreed personal terms with the player, Lazio appeared eager to hold out for a ?12 million fee, but the deal has now been concluded as Lichtsteiner joins Andrea Pirlo, Reto Ziegler and Michele Pazienza as summer arrivals in Turin.
