Relief for Arsenal over Van Persie
Arsenal striker Robin van Persie was forced off at half-time during Netherlands' Euro 2012 qualifying victory over Hungary after picking up an injury - but Dutch coach Bert van Marwijk says it is not serious.
Van Persie was hacked down by Hungary defender Vilmos Vanczak in the first half of an enthralling 5-3 victory for the home side, after he had put his side ahead.
The 27-year-old hobbled off at the interval and was replaced for the second half by veteran Hamburg striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Van Persie was recently sidelined with a knee injury he picked up during Arsenal's 2-1 Carling Cup defeat with Birmingham but returned for the Gunners' Champions League exit at the hands of Barcelona.
"He got kneed in his thigh. But he can play with Arsenal again this weekend," said van Marwijk after the game.
Arsenal will be hoping it is not too serious as they challenge for the Premier League crown, with games against title rivals Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool to come.
Van Persie has picked up two serious injuries in recent years on international duty.
