Da Silva moves to Spain
Sunderland have sold defender Paulo Da Silva to Real Zaragoza for an undisclosed fee.
Paraguayan defender Paulo Da Silva has joined Spanish side Real Zaragoza.
Real have paid an undisclosed fee for the 30-year-old, who impressed for his country at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
Da Silva joined Sunderland from Toluca in summer 2009 and made 20 appearances for the Black Cats last season.
However, the Asuncion-born centre back had appeared just three times for Sunderland this season, spending long spells on the bench.
He becomes the second player to leave permanently in the January transfer window after David Healy joined Rangers.
Da Silva joins a Zaragoza side who currently sit 15th in La Liga with 22 points from 21 games.
