Arsenal's Serge Gnabry is set to sign for Bayern Munich on a permanent deal before being loaned to Werder Bremen, according to Sky Germany. Sky sources reported earlier in the window that Gnabry was being offered to clubs on loan, but that manager Arsene Wenger wanted the Germany international to sign a contract extension.
But it is understood Bayern Munich have since agreed a permanent deal with Arsenal for the 21-year-old winger.
Gnabry signed a five-year deal with Arsenal in 2013 and it is understood most of the Bundesliga have been interested in signing the player.
Gnabry has been playing for Germany at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, having represented his country at every youth level from U16 to U21.
He spent a portion of last season on loan at West Brom but made just three appearances and was subsequently recalled by Wenger, who believes the youngster has a future at the Emirates.
Gnabry joined Arsenal as a 16-year-old from Stuttgart in 2011 and has made 18 appearances, including five starts in the Premier League.
He made his last appearance for the Gunners against Bayern Munich in the Champions League last-16 in 2014.
