Borussia Dortmund are expected to announce the sacking of manager Peter Bosz following Saturday's 2-1 defeat at home to Werder Bremen. The result left Dortmund without a win in eight games and seventh in the Bundesliga table, three points adrift of a Champions League place. After guiding Ajax to the Europa League final, Bosz was appointed Dortmund coach last summer to replace Thomas Tuchel. Dortmund executives Hans-Joachim Watzke and Michael Zorc met after the Bremen defeat and have decided to sack the Dutchman.
Swiss coach Lucien Favre, currently with French side Nice, is one of the names being considered to replace him.
Bremen took the lead through Maxi Eggestein before Pierre Emerick Aubameyang equalised with his 97th Bundesliga goal - surpassing the record held by Anthony Yeboah as the highest scoring African to play in the league's history.
However, Theodor Gebre Selassie secured the points for Bremen in the 65th minute.
Aubameyang, meanwhile, remains a possible target for Everton though the Bundesliga side want £61million for the 28-year-old Gabon international.
