Getafe striker Roberto Soldado has completed his move to La Liga rivals Valencia.
“I come to Valencia with all the enthusiasm in the world,” Soldado told the club's official website. “I am eager to help the team.”The 25-year-old arrives at the club with some pretty big boots to fill following David Villa's move to Barcelona, however, he was quick to distance himself from the Barcelona man, insisting he's a striker in his own right.
“I am not to here replace anybody, I am here to do my job,” he said. "I'll contribute as much as possible."
Finally, Soldado, who grabbed 16 goals for Getafe last season and is
reported to have cost around ?10 million, revealed his excitement following the completion of the deal, admitting he leapt at the chance to join los Che.
“From the first moment that there was contact between the two clubs, I knew that I would come here.”
