For Lyon to officially deny that a deal is done like they have for Nabil Fékir to Liverpool this morning is utterly unprecedented.

For those asking, no, Lyon did not do the same for Alexandre Lacazette - President Aulas issued denials in interviews, not through official club channels.

There is a difference between Lyon quoting President Aulas on their website/social media channels & officially issuing such a strong denial as a club itself.

France international attacking midfielder Nabil Fékir has undergone a medical with Liverpool, which he did so last Thursday night, according to RMC.

A member of Liverpool’s medical staff came to France’s base at Clairefontaine – this morning, Fékir underwent the final tests. Now the English club is waiting for the results, according to the outlet.

An element of Lyon's strategy vis-à-vis Nabil Fékir is to try to ensure any transfer fee goes to the 2018/19 accounts - the club doesn't need anything before June 30th, according to @Tanziloic of RMC. Also a question of being able to reinvest it back into the market immediately.
