John Terry will look to make a decision on his future this week as Aston Villa wait in the wings. The 36-year-old has been offered one year contracts by Villa, who are considered favourites for his signature, and Birmingham City while he has also spoken to Bournemouth, Swansea City, Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion.Offers are also on the table from abroad while Terry could yet decide to retire from playing and pursue a coaching career. The former Chelsea captain returned from Portugal this week after attending his brother's wedding and will focus on his next career as his Stamford Bridge contract officially ends this weekend.
Terry has an added incentive at Villa where he could also take his first steps into coaching under Steve Bruce after a season playing.
The former England captain revealed at Chelsea's end-of-season awards ceremony last month that he was struggling to imagine playing for another club.
But he could yet prolong his illustrious career having spent time with his family to contemplate his next move while on holiday.
Terry recently played golf with Villa boss Bruce and his son Alex in Portugal, and after the Midlands club finished 13th in the Championship last season, he is viewed as an essential signing in their bid to return to the top flight.
