Harry Kane's first Champions League hat-trick made it two wins from two group games for Tottenham with a 3-0 victory at APOEL Nicosia.

The in-form striker gave Spurs a first-half lead against the run of play when he latched on to Toby Alderweireld's through-ball and finished coolly, after the hosts had earlier hit the crossbar.

Hugo Lloris was forced into two good saves after the interval as APOEL continued to threaten, but deadly Kane finished off another swift breakaway when he was set up by Moussa Sissoko.

And the England striker took his current Champions League tally to five in two games, and nine goals in all competitions this season, when he headed home Kieran Trippier's cross from the right to net a perfect hat-trick.

Boss Mauricio Pochettino insisted there was "no excuse" for Tottenham not to win the game, despite arriving in Cyprus with seven first-team players missing through injury or suspension - and the scoreline belied how uncomfortable it was for them for large periods.

Egged on by a raucous band of ultras in the home end, Igor de Camargo rattled the goal-frame on 19 minutes after being put through by Stithies Aloneftis, before Carlao headed wide at the far post completely unmarked.

Spurs - playing Ben Davies in a back-three with right-back Kieran Trippier filling in at left wing-back - were forced to hit APOEL on the break for their goal, similarly to how they beat Borussia Dortmund a fortnight ago, and fortunately they had Kane to side-foot home the opener.

Heung-Min Son, who also scored in that 3-1 win at Wembley, went close from a tight angle as Spurs went in search of a second immediately after the interval, but APOEL twice went nearly hit an equaliser and Lloris did well to beat away Roland Sallai's clever volley and a fierce shot from left-winger Efstathios Aloneftis.

Pochettino removed Serge Aurier as the hour-mark approached, switching Trippier to his more familiar right-back and bringing on Fernando Llorente, who combined well with Sissoko to set up Spurs' and Kane's second.

Sissoko picked out Kane unmarked in the penalty box and he found the far corner, and then Trippier beat his man on the far side four minutes later to cross for Kane and his first hat-trick in Europe's elite competition.

There was even time for Pochettino to hand Anthony Georgiou - of Cypriot descent and one of two academy stars on the bench for Spurs - his debut for a club looking very comfortable in the Champions League surroundings.

Spartak Moscow 1-1 Liverpool: Visitors dominate but cannot find winner

Liverpool were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw despite dominating at Spartak Moscow in their Champions League Group E clash on Tuesday.

Fernando's fine free-kick gave Spartak Moscow the lead in an action-packed opening (23), but Philippe Coutinho levelled with his first-ever Champions League goal following a lovely move (31).

Liverpool dominated the second half but were kept out on several occasions, the biggest chances falling to substitute Daniel Sturridge, who blazed over on the volley from close range, and Mohamed Salah, who saw a close-range header saved by substitute goalkeeper Aleksandr Selikhov.

After Sevilla's win against Maribor, the result means Liverpool are in second in Group E, two points behind the Spanish leaders and level on points with Spartak.

In an open and entertaining first half, Artyom Rebrov made good saves to deny Salah's angled effort and then Roberto Firmino's free header, before the hosts took the lead.

After Salah had fouled on the edge of the box, Fernando stepped up and found the right of the goal from the resulting free-kick midway through the first half, though there will be question marks over Loris Karius' dive with the ball not ending up in the corner of the net.

But Liverpool were level eight minutes later through Coutinho, who received the ball back from a superb one-two with Sadio Mane outside the box, finding the roof of the net from 12 yards.

Liverpool should have gone into the break ahead following two chances; Firmino failed to shuffle his feet in time to turn Jordan Henderson's fine ball goalwards, and on the stroke of half-time a four-versus-two attack ended in Mane being caught offside.

Jurgen Klopp's side also dominated the second period, going close through Coutinho's free-kick, before Firmino struck over the bar in space having won the ball back on the edge of the box.

Liverpool will feel they should have won it in the dying stages after Sturridge struck over the bar in space from six yards on the volley, and with just two minutes of the additional eight added on remaining, Salah struck a point-blank header straight at Selikhov from Alexander-Arnold's cross.

Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling's second-half goals saw Manchester City beat Shakhtar Donetsk 2-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

De Bruyne opened the scoring with a powerful 25-yard shot three minutes after half-time, before Sterling's close-range finish wrapped up the win in the last minute.

The final scoreline could have been even greater, only for Sergio Aguero to miss a penalty with 18 minutes left to play, but Pep Guardiola's side remain top of Group F after a comfortable victory.

City came into the match in great form but, after a promising start, the visitors gradually began to gain a footing in the contest and it was Ederson who was the busier of the goalkeepers.

The Brazilian had to be on his toes to keep out Marlos' curling effort, while Facundo Ferreyra should have hit the target with a header just before the break.

City were not without their own threatening moments. Jesus slipped De Bruyne through on goal, but the Belgian missed the target with just Andriy Pyatov to beat, while Leroy Sane also went close with a low drive that flashed just past the far post.

Those misses were soon forgotten when City made the breakthrough just after the break, helped by Marlos giving the ball to David Silva near the halfway line. The Spaniard then powered forward, before finding De Bruyne, and the midfielder beat a motionless Pyatov from just outside the area.

The home side should have doubled their lead, though, after Ivan Ordets was judged to have pushed over Sane in the box.

Aguero, however, missed the chance to become the club's joint record scorer by placing his penalty too close to Pyatov - the Argentine's seventh failure from the spot in only 15 attempts.

But City deservedly grabbed a second late on when Kyle Walker sent Bernardo Silva free down the right and the substitute's cross was swept home by the unmarked Sterling for his sixth goal in just eight appearances this season.

卡尼的這場個人騷在上半場39分鐘揭開序幕。客隊後衛艾達韋列特在中場線位置直線地波傳前，多得尼科西亞的後衛「包越位」，卡尼得球後埋門，並趁門將出迎時左腳熨射地波得手，熱刺半場領先1:0。

利物浦周二晚在歐聯E組分組賽作客以1:1逼和俄超球隊莫斯科斯巴達，連續兩場分組賽都未能贏波的同時，亦未能打破球隊自2009年11月下旬後，在歐洲賽作客無法贏波的宿命。

利記今仗雖然作客俄羅斯，但踢來卻似在主場出擊一般，形勢上是比莫斯科斯巴達佔優。不過，主隊卻是今仗先開紀錄的一隊。23分鐘，莫斯科斯巴達在禁區頂峨嵋月對外、離門約24碼的正中位置得到一記罰球。利物浦排出一個五人的人牆，門將卡利奧斯的站位則是中間偏右。罰球由費蘭度盧卡斯主射，皮球稍呈內彎飛向龍門，雖有一定球速，但角度並不刁鑽，不過卡利奧斯即使撲盡亦是鞭長莫及。利記之後在31分鐘扳平。沙迪奧文尼在禁區頂左輔直線短傳予入楔的菲臘比古天奴，後者在門前大腳抽射破網，兩隊半場踢成1:1。

利記又靠古天奴打救



利物浦周二晚在歐聯E組分組賽作客俄羅斯，最終又在全場比賽贏盡形勢下，僅能以1:1逼和莫斯科斯巴達。紅軍今仗未能贏波，負責把守最後一關的門將卡利奧斯難辭其疚，利記亦再一次要由今夏曾鬧離隊的菲臘比古天奴打救，不禁令人擔心假如巴西人有朝一日終於離隊的話，會對利物浦帶來何等影響。

利記今仗終於可以自8月的季前賽後，再次在正選陣容中擺上「神奇四俠」羅拔圖法明奴、穆罕默德沙拿、古天奴及沙迪奧文尼。誠然文尼和古天奴在利物浦扳平的一球配合得絲絲入扣，但四人要踢出真正威力，相信仍要一段時間。若單論今仗表現，法明奴應是比較低迷的一人，在比賽中連番錯失了入球機會。

值得留意的是，利物浦今仗賽前五場先開紀錄的比賽全數贏波，相反先失球的另外五場比賽，則全數未能贏波，結果今仗亦無例外。事實上，紅軍把握力不足的問題絕非始於今季，球隊近六場射門121次，當中只取得六個入球和一場勝仗，這是不能被忽略的數據。至於高路普今季以卡利奧斯出任歐聯門將的決定，暫時亦未見成效。利物浦今仗的失球源自中場安利簡恩犯錯給予主隊進攻機會，繼後導致罰球的犯規亦是沒有必要。然而，卡利奧斯在面對接下來罰球的表現才是「亮點」，相信沒有人會否定他應該能夠做得更好。撇除易邊後一次撲救，卡利奧斯今仗考驗不多，但莫斯科斯巴達兩次中框就射入一球，紅軍球迷看在眼裡肯定感到不是味兒。

其實佢近排狀態不佳，加上又場場征戰，攰到咩咁。佢既打法又極消耗體力，高普點解唔比佢抖下呢？上場根本就唔應該搵佢打正選。
