Shaqiri isn’t convinced by opportunity to join Stoke City: the situation

Earlier today we reported that Inter and Stoke City had reached an agreement on the sale of Xherdan Shaqiri subject to the player's approval.
But at the moment the Swiss player isn't convinced by the destination, the former Bayern winger appears to be disappointed by Inter's decision to sell him after just a half a season.
Stoke will continue to try to convince Shaqiri to accept a transfer to the Premier League.

After addressing the defense and midfield, Inter is working on revamping the attack.
Xherdan Shaqiri is on his way out after just a half a season at the club, the former Bayern Munich winger seems ready to accept Schalke 04's offer,
the German club has offered ?16 million which is slightly more than what Inter owes Bayern Munich.

Stoke City pull out of £12 million Xherdan Shaqiri deal

Stoke City have scrapped their £12million pursuit of Xherdan Shaqiri after the Inter Milan midfielder failed to respond to the club's deadline.
Mark Hughes agreed a fee with Inter for the Switzerland international last month and was hopeful of agreeing a club record deal.
Stoke held talks with Shaqiri's representatives and were given sufficient encouragement that the 23-year-old would be persuaded to move to the Potteries.
However, negotiations have dragged over the past week and Stoke decided to give Shaqiri a deadline of Thursday lunchtime to give them an answer.
But there was no response and Stoke have today contacted Inter to officially withdraw their offer, which would have smashed their transfer record.
Hughes will now move on to other targets as he prepares for the Barclays Asia Cup in Singapore.
