According to L’Equipe, Paris Saint-Germain have made an offer to sign Newcastle's Yohan Cabaye.
It seems the bid is around 15million euros, bigger than the initial offer made by Arsenal.

Newcastle boss Pardew says Arsenal have not made an improved bid for Cabaye




Newcastle boss Alan Pardew says Arsenal have not returned with an improved offer for Yohan Cabaye after having a "derisory" £10million bid rejected on Monday.

Speculation has continued over the French midfielder future with the Gunners reportedly preparing a new offer and Paris St Germain also linked.

Pardew said: "I think the situation with Yohan is an ongoing situation and we will take each day as it comes.

"There's been one bid and I've turned that down, and that's really all I'm going to say on that."

Pardew has been in the south of France to discussed potential targets with club owner Mike Ashley but admits there are no imminent additions to add to lone summer
signing Loic Remy.

Pardew added: "I was there to get together with the owner and get ourselves a game-plan going towards the final week of the window, and that's what we did."

Arsene Wenger says Arsenal have not made a fresh approach for Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye,
but hopes to make a signing before next weekend's derby with Tottenham Hotspur.

Alan Pardew admitted Yohan Cabaye's future needs to be sorted out after seeing Newcastle draw 0-0 with West Ham today.
Cabaye was again left out of the Newcastle team after missing the 4-0 defeat at Manchester City on Monday following a failed bid from Arsenal.

Alan Pardew admitted Yohan Cabaye's future needs to be sorted out after seeing Newcastle draw a blank against West Ham.

Cabaye was a notable absentee as Newcastle were forced to settle for a goalless draw against West Ham at St James' Park on Saturday.

Arsenal are keen on signing Cabaye before the close of the transfer window and have had one bid rejected for the Frenchman.

Pardew hopes to keep Cabaye, but admits he wants the issue resolved so that he can bring in a replacement in case he loses the midfielder.

"The Cabaye situation needs to resolve itself one way or the other because if we lose him we need to replace him," Pardew told Sky Sports.

Despite being held by West Ham, Pardew was happy with the performance of his players after they responded to Monday's 4-0 defeat
by Manchester City with a clean sheet and a first point of the season.

"We had to dig in after Manchester City and really show our resilience which we did today," added Pardew.

"Defensively we did not put in a bad performance, offensively we know we have to improve, but we had some key players missing today and hopefully when we play Fulham one or two will be back."
