Arsene Wenger has made his second signing of the summer after landing Mathieu Flamini on a free transfer.
The midfielder, who left the Gunners in 2008 to join AC Milan, is believed to have agreed a three-year deal worth £40,000-a-week.
Flamini, 29, joins Yaya Sanogo as the second arrival at the Emirates this summer after the French striker made his switch from Auxerre on a free transfer in July.

Rolling back the years: Flamini made over 100 appearances across a four-year spell for the Gunners
Flamini has been training with Arsenal during pre-season after he was released by AC Milan at the end of last term.
Last week Wenger moved to praise the midfielder, but appeared to play down suggestions he would sign for the club.
'He is just here to work on his fitness and he does that very well,' said Wenger. 'I don't say there's no chance and I don't say there is a chance [of signing him].'
Flamini joined Arsenal in 2004 and made over 100 appearances for the Gunners before joining AC Milan on a free transfer four years later.
He becomes the fourth player to resign for Wenger during the Frenchman's tenure at the club with Sol Campbell, Jens Lehmann and Thierry Henry also returning for second spells with the Gunners.
