Report: Witsel has Milan deal



Reports in Belgium claim Axel Witsel has agreed a deal to move from Zenit St Petersburg to Milan.

It was reported earlier today that the Rossoneri had been in contact with both the player and the club, as they seek to reinforce their midfield.

Now SudInfo in the player’s native Belgium is reporting that Witsel signed a contract with the Rossoneri on Tuesday, having flown to Italy to complete the deal.

SudInfo makes no mention of the transfer fee involved or length of contract, but is certain that Witsel has decided to move to San Siro.

Milan continues to work on signing Axel Witsel: the situation

After losing the race to sign Kondogbia, Milan continues to look for players to bolster their midfield.
As we have been reporting in the past few days, the Rossoneri are interested in Axel Witsel, the Zenit midfielder born in 1989.
The contacts with both the player and his club are on going, but the negotiations aren't in the crucial phase quite yet.
While Milan continues to work on signing Witsel the signatures aren't imminent.
