Luiz Gustavo insists he is not looking for a move away from Bayern Munich amid mounting transfer speculation.

The Brazilian midfielder has seen his place in the Bayern side called into question following the summer arrivals of Mario Gotze and Thiago Alcantara.

It is difficult to see how Pep Guardiola is going to fit the wealth of talent he has at his disposal into a starting XI, and keep everyone happy over the course of the 2013/14 campaign.

The potential availability of Gustavo has been noted at Wolfsburg, who have admitted to holding an interest, while Arsenal have also been linked with an imminent approach.

Gustavo is aware that his future has become the subject of much conjecture, but the 26-year-old says he has not sparked the rumours and would be happy to remain at the Allianz Arena.

A man who helped Bayern to an historic Treble last season told Deutsche Presseagentur: "I want to stay on at Bayern Munich.

"I am under contract with the club and I want to fulfil that commitment.

"I have been in a position to fight for a first team role throughout my career. I will keep on fighting this year, too."

Wolfsburg have made an official approach for Bayern Munich's versatile defensive midfielder Luiz Gustavo.

The Wolves are looking to sign the Brazilian to beef up their midfield for an assault on a place in Europe next season, while the 26-year-old may also find his first-team opportunities limited at Bayern this season given the arrivals of Thiago Alcantara and Mario Gotze.

His contract with Bayern still has two years left to run on it, but Wolfsburg should have no problems stumping up a fee for the former Hoffenheim player's services.

"We've made contact and expressed our interest," said Wolfsburg's director of sport Klaus Allofs to the Bild newspaper.

"We want to do things correctly. There are still some obstacles to overcome, however."

Gustavo has been included in the Bayern squad for today's Supercup against Borussia Dortmund, although he is not expected to figure having yet to feature under new Bayern coach Pep Guardiola since returning from the Confederations Cup.

Chelsea are ready to table a £15million bid for Bayern Munich midfielder Luiz Gustavo, writes Dave Kidd of the Sunday People .

Returning boss Jose Mourinho has prioritised the signing of a holding midfield player for the Stamford Bridge club .

He has doubts about John Obi Mikel’s ability to play in that role.

Bayern’s signing of Thiago Alcantara from Barcelona is likely to limit Gustavo’s first-team opportunities this season.

And the player wants regular first-team football to ensure he is part of the Brazil team for next summer’s World Cup.

Chelsea are also keen on bringing back midfielder Nemanja Matic - a fringe player at the Bridge from 2009-2011 - from Benfica, but his £25m price-tag is putting them off.
