Dirk Kuyt nets first half hat trick as Feyenoord hit five vs. Heerenveen A first-half Dirk Kuyt hat trick helped Feyenoord to a comfortable 5-2 victory at Heerenveen. The visitors scored all five of their goals in the first half after Michiel Kramer and Simon Gustafson complemented Kuyt's treble. Henk Veerman netted twice for Heerenveen after the beak but the game was already beyond them. Victory allowed Feyenoord to move level on points with Eredivisie leaders Ajax, although even their improved goal difference was not enough to see them overtake the Amsterdam club. Vitesse were also big winners on Sunday, thrashing 10-man PEC Zwolle 5-1 away from home.
Lewis Baker's early goal for Vitesse was cancelled out by Thomas Lam but the visitors scored twice more before the break to take control, Dominic Solanke's penalty and Valeri Kazaishvil making it 3-1 at the interval.
Denys Oliynyk added a fourth from the penalty spot six minutes into the second half after Ouasim Bouy was sent off for Zwolle, and then Milot Rashic completed the scoring 11 minutes from the end.
Elsewhere, struggling clubs Den Haag and De Graafschap drew 1-1 after Mike Havenaar's 41st-minute goal was cancelled out by Gianni Zuiverloon's own goal four minutes later.
FC Twente, meanwhile, moved themselves away from the bottom of the table with their second successive home win, beating NEC 1-0 thanks to Peet Bijen's 68th-minute goal.
