由於不能於去年11月的限期，向球員支付薪金，意大利足總於周五宣佈懲罰帕爾馬，具體處分是再扣意甲聯賽2分。

此外，帕爾馬前會長吉拉爾迪（Tommaso Ghirard）及前總監比度蒙尼迪（Pietro Manenti）則被禁止參與足球事務4個月。這次處分涉及帕爾馬球員7至9月合共3個月的薪金。帕爾馬會方面臨破產倒閉關係，假如短期內未能解決持續累積的欠薪問題，球隊未來或會繼續被意大利足總扣分。

帕爾馬於去年12月，已被意足總扣1分作為懲處。前後加起來被扣3分後，今季24戰3勝3和18負的帕爾馬，暫以9分位列意甲榜包尾。不過，場內的帕爾馬最近表現回勇，先後在作客羅馬及迎戰阿特蘭大的聯賽，均以0:0賽和對手。

Parma chairman Giampietro Manenti has been arrested on charges of money-laundering as the crisis at the Serie A club continues.

The club are bottom of the league, have already been docked three points for failing to pay their players on time and are on the brink of having to stop playing.

Manenti’s arrest comes as Parma prepare to face a bankruptcy hearing on Thursday that could result in it being wound up and prevented from completing the rest of their Serie A fixtures.

Prosecutors are due to give further details of the charges against Manenti later on Wednesday but with former president Tommaso Ghirardi and club official Pietro Leonardi both given four-month bans by league disciplinary officials on Friday, things continue to go from bad to worse for the financially-stricken club.

The club have been offered a lifeline by the Italian professional football league (Lega), which has offered to lend them £3.62m (5m euros) to see out the rest of the season.

It is uncertain, however, that this will be regarded as sufficient with Parma said to be £72.3m (100m euros) in debt with some £12.3m (17m euros) owed to tax authorities.

If Parma do drop out of this season's league, all previous results stand and future results are recorded as a 3-0 win to the opposition.

Parma deducted four more points in Serie A due to finances

Crisis-hit Parma have been docked another four points in the Serie A standings for their financial failures, the Italian football federation announced on Thursday.

Parma were already in last place but are now 11 points from safety and stranded at the bottom of the Italian top flight.

The club were previously penalised three points this season for missed wages, and without the penalties they would have had a legitimate chance at avoiding relegation. Now though, it seems certain they will ply their trade in Serie B next season.

Last month, Parma were declared bankrupt with debts of more than 200 million euros (£144million).    

Also on Thursday, former Parma owner Giampietro Manenti and ex-sporting director Pietro Leonardi were each handed six-month bans from football.

Parma's players have still not been paid all season, but the team managed to beat Serie A leaders Juventus 1-0 on Saturday.

Parma are set to drop from Serie A into Italy's amateur leagues



Parma are set to drop into the amateur leagues after administrators received no takeover offers prior to a Monday lunchtime deadline.

Parma ended a nightmarish 2014/2015 campaign bottom of the Serie A table having been deducted points on several occasions for the club's failure to pay players and staff.

They were declared bankrupt in March and entered administration pending the search for investors to take over the club and pay off their debts.

Despite automatically dropping into Serie B - Italy's second division - the club's failure to find a buyer mean they are set to drop into Serie D, the top tier of non-professional football in Italy.

American-Italian and former Major League Baseball player Mike Piazza and Italian entrepreneur

Giuseppe Corrado were reported to be heading separate takeover bids in recent days.

But Corrado walked away from talks on Sunday night, and on Monday morning La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Piazza had also ended his interest in buying the club.

Parma have never won the league title in Italy's top flight but during their 1992-2002 heyday claimed seven trophies including two UEFA Cups, three Italian Cups, a European Super Cup and the Cup Winners' Cup.

"It is with great sadness and regret that I have to announce the end of talks to purchase Parma FC," said Piazza.
