Napoli make Sanchez offer
Udinese expect decision on winger's future after Copa America

Udinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo has revealed Serie A rivals Napoli have made an offer for in-demand winger Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean is currently on Copa America duty and European champions Barcelona are favourites to secure his signature ahead of the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Inter Milan.

However, Napoli have made a late move to sign Sanchez, despite Udinese's sporting director Fabrizio Larini revealing earlier in the week that the 22-year-old's heart is set on joining Barcelona.

Sanchez is valued at ?50million (£45m) by Udinese and Pozzo does not expect a resolution to the situation until after the Copa America.

Complicated

When asked about the chances of Sanchez joining Napoli this summer, Pozzo said: "Nothing is impossible.

"(Napoli president) Aurelio (De Laurentiis) has pleasantly surprised me because he wants to achieve big things and wants to win the scudetto.

"He has made an interesting financial offer for Sanchez. The deal would be complicated.

"We will have to wait until the Copa America is over and then consider how many pretenders there are and how many clubs are really interested in Sanchez.

"We need to understand who the real suitors of this champion player are. We have spoken to two clubs but nothing serious has come out of it.

"Napoli are interested and De Laurentiis has made an important offer. But in order for the deal to be completed, the three parties have to be in agreement.

"Hence, we will wait until the end of the Copa America."

Italian interest in Insua

The agent of Liverpool defender Emiliano Insua claims Roma hold an interest in his client.

The 22-year-old spent last season away from Anfield as he took in a loan spell at Galatasaray.

He has since returned to England, but remains on the fringes of the first-team set-up with the Reds.

That has fuelled speculation that he could soon be on the move again, with a number of clubs reported to be keen on striking a deal.

Fiorentina and Palermo have been heavily linked with the Argentine in the past, with it felt that his game would be ideally suited to the Italian game.

Stand-by

Roma are the latest Serie A outfit to consider an approach, and Insua's agent has revealed that an agreement could be reached with Liverpool.

"We have spoken to Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini," Rodrigo Vilarino told calciomercato.com.

"The situation at the moment is on stand-by.

"I don't know how much he would cost, that all depends on Liverpool."

Brazilian international likens the midfielder's situation to when he was at Sevilla and 'wanted to be in business class', and feels the Gunners should not keep their unhappy player

Daniel Alves has urged Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas to force through his move to Barcelona this summer.

The Spanish international has been linked with a return to the Catalan club for a number of years and Alves wants Fabregas to take the initiative and push for a transfer.

The Brazilian told Spanish radio station RAC-1: "I understand that he doesn't want to leave Arsenal on bad terms but I can understand why he would force a move to Barca.”

He added: “Players always end up where they want to play and a club shouldn't keep an unhappy member of the squad."

Alves likened the midfielder’s situation to his time at Sevilla when he pushed for a transfer to Barcelona in 2008.

"I forced my exit from Sevilla; I saw the train passing by and I wanted to be in business class,” he said.

Fabregas made 25 appearances in the Premier League last season, scoring three goals and contributing 11 assists.

Negotiations with Juventus continue - agent of Lyon's Michel Bastos

Representative says talks with Turin side are 'still on course', but winger has other options if dialogue breaks down between now and the end of the transfer window

Juventus are still interested in Lyon's Michel Bastos as talks over a possible transfer continue to gather momentum, his agent Emmanuel De Kerckhove has told Goal.com.

"The talks with Juventus are still on course," the player's representative revealed to Goal.com.

Bastos, 27, has been linked with a move to Turin all summer, but recent reports claimed the move was unlikely to happen, with the Italians focusing their transfer hopes on Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero.

However, the Brazilian's agent says press reports have been wide of the mark.

"The talks have not gone off the boil like what has been reported by some of the press," he said.

Should neither Juventus nor Lyon reach an agreement for the player, who is valued at around ?13 million, the agent claims his client has other possibilities.

"There are other options apart from Juventus, but that is a secret," he said.

"It's not about priority, but about thinking carefully when offers arrive."

Bastos' deal at the Stade Gerland expires in 2013.
