Lille rule out Hazard sale

Lille boss Frederic Paquet is adamant there is no chance of Belgian playmaker Eden Hazard joining Arsenal during August.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has already seen Cesc Fabregas leave the club this month, and now Samir Nasri is on the brink of a move to Manchester City.

The loss of two star midfielders leaves the Gunners looking short of creativity in midfield - they have scored one goal in three matches this season - and increases the pressure on Wenger to buy.

He is known to be an admirer of 20-year-old Hazard who is, alongside new Chelsea signing Romelu Lukaku, considered to represent the future of Belgian football. But Lille say they will not consider any offer for Hazard, no matter what size.

"Eden will not be leaving this season," said Paquet. "We are aware of interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe but we are not prepared to sell. He is very happy here; he understands our project and wants to stay for at least another year."

On Tuesday Wenger claimed he feels no pressure to replace Nasri and Fabregas, because he has already purchased Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Gervinho this summer.

'AC Milan are signing a great player in Alberto Aquilani' - CEO Adriano Galliani confirms loan now, buy later deal with Liverpool

Serie A club chief has closed the side's transfer dealings by announcing the midfielder's arrival in time for the big kick-off against Cagliari this weekend

AC Milan have secured the services of Alberto Aquilani from Liverpool on a loan deal with the obligation to buy him permanently if he plays more than 25 games this season

The move has not been announced officially by the Italian champions, but their CEO Adriano Galliani said they have reached an accord for the 27-year-old Italy international.

Terms have been agreed following weeks of on-off talks and Milan will have to pay Liverpool ?6 million to make the transfer permanent at the end of the 2011-12 season if the 25-match total is reached.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Galliani said: "We have got a player of great quality [in Aquilani], but now Milan's transfer market is closed."

Galliani's words thus bring an end to the search for the club's 'mister X'.

Earlier, Franco Zavaglia, the player's agent, said his client only wanted a move to Milan as he was in Liverpool trying to conclude business.

Aquilani is now expected to head to San Siro so he can sign for his new club on Thursday morning. An official announcement from the Italian side is expected later.

Malouda heading to Juventus as Chelsea prepare to accept knockdown £5m deal

Chelsea are considering offloading Florent Malouda to Juventus in a cut-price £5million deal.

The French winger could be sold in a knockdown move to help balance the books ahead of the arrival of Porto right-back Alvaro Pereira.

Malouda, who scored the winner in Saturday's 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion, was widely regarded as a key part of the Blues' squad.

However, new boss Andres Villas-Boas is ready to sell him to Juventus as he attempts to freshen up his options ahead of next Wednesday's transfer deadline.

The Italian side have previously attempted to land Malouda but this time they are confident of wrapping up a deal. They also believe they can lure Brazilian centre-back Alex away from Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have made an opening bid of £15m for Pereira as they look to finalise the signing of Juan Mata.

Sportsmail revealed Chelsea's interest in the Uruguay international wing back Pereira but his buy-out clause is £25m.

Villas-Boas has gone back to his old club for the hardworking and versatile left-sided star and may offer a player as part of any deal for Pereira.

Agent reopens Juventus door for Lyon's Michel Bastos following two rejected bids

Lyon winger Michel Bastos appears to have one last chance of joining Juventus as his agent Fabio Parisi believes a move can be revived, despite the player claiming only last week that he would remain at Lyon.

In another twist to one of the summer's longest transfer sagas, Parisi believes there is still time for the Italians to get their act together and make one final bid before deadline day on August 31.

But they will have to try even harder as Bastos and Lyon appear in agreement not to severe ties this summer.

The Ligue 1 side have already rejected two official bids for the 28-year-old, and just days ago Bastos said he was not leaving after becoming fed up with Juventus' go-slow progress in talks.

However, Parisi has not given up hope as he tries to revive the interest in his man.

"Can Bastos still join Juventus? We have to wait until the end of the transfer window," Parisi told Sport Italia.

"There are negotiations which can end in five minutes or some that last for months."

Juventus are still hopeful of adding a winger to their ranks. Fiorentina's Juan Manuel Vargas and Hamburg's Eljero Elia have also been linked with a move to Turin.

Paris Saint-Germain are looking at Juventus striker Amauri, but they could face stiff competition from Wolfsburg, according to reports.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims the Ligue 1 side see the 31-year-old as an ideal replacement for Mevlut Erding, who looks set to join Rennes.

PSG have already had a move for Inter's Diego Milito turned down after he said he would be staying at San Siro despite strong interest from Leonardo, who coached him last season.

And Parisian eyes have now focused on Amauri, who looks destined to leave Turin.

Potential moves to Palermo, Genoa, Napoli and Fiorentina have all failed because of his ?4 million per annum wage demands, but it is said the French are convinced they can get him to lower that sum.

However, Leonardo may have to deal with the added strain of seeing off other clubs as German side Wolfsburg are also keen on the forward.

Tuttomercatoweb.com reports Diego's reported move to Atletico Madrid will see Felix Magath turn his attentions to Amauri, who is liked by the lower Saxony-based outfit.

Liverpool striker Daniel Pacheco has joined Atletico Madrid on a season-long loan deal, but the Spanish club have sent him straight to city rivals Rayo Vallecano in a unique move.

The Reds confirmed his exit on Wednesday with Atletico moving for his services only to then loan him onto Rayo so he can gain regular first-team action and experience, having failed to do get playing time at Anfield.

Midfielder says no Magpies offer leaves him no choice

Joey Barton has moved a step closer to joining Queens Park Rangers after revealing he will undergo a medical at the club on Wednesday.

As revealed by Sky Sports sources, The Newcastle midfielder began talks with the Hoops earlier in the day after being placed on the transfer list earlier in the summer.

Despite featuring prominently in Newcastle's opening two Premier League fixtures, the club are determined to lose ties with him after he criticised the their transfer policies via his Twitter account.

And he has since revealed on the social networking site: "Going for a medical now, still no contract offer from NUFC.......think that just about makes my mind up."

He added: "Don't want to leave Newcastle........I've made that clear but my hands are tied."
