Hierro becomes Real No2, Morata nears exit 
Fernando Hierro is to return to Real Madrid as assistant coach next season, the Spanish club have announced. In a statement on their official website, the European champions confirmed that
former defender Hierro, who made 601 appearances for the club in a glittering 14-year career at the Bernabeu, is to replace Zinedine Zidane as Carlo Ancelotti's No2. Hierro won five La Liga titles, three Champions Leagues and one Copa del Rey with Madrid but left the club on less than amicable terms,
following coach Vicente Del Bosque out of the door in 2003 - the day after winning the league title.
He then moved to Qatari side Al-Rayyan before ending his playing career with English side.
He became director of football with the Spanish Football Federation after hanging up his boots but has now turned his hand to coaching,
returning to the club where he enjoyed the most success on the pitch.
