Mexican international goalkeeper, Guillermo Ochoa has reportedly rejected offers from several different clubs, as the 2014 World Cup star is holding out to sign with Malaga, who are his first priority. According to Spanish sports daily, AS, Ochoa has rejected lucrative offers from several French Ligue 1 sides in order to make the move to Spain, which is the preferred destination of the 2014 World Cup star. The report goes on to add tha
t Ochoa’s representative, Jorge Berlanga, reached out to Malaga as they arrived in Barcelona for their final stop on the way back from their pre-season tour of Australia,
to
inform them that Ochoa would be getting his EU passport by the end of the summer and to put the final touches on the agreement. The two sides are close to finalising the deal, which could be announced as soon as next week.
Ochoa has spent the past several seasons with Ajaccio in France,
but following their relegation last season, the 29-year-old was allowed to opt out of his contract and leave on a free transfer.
