Rafael van der Vaart and Tom Huddlestone have handed Tottenham a double boost ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with Inter Milan.
The key Spurs duo were rated as injury doubts for Tuesday's Group A clash at White Hart Lane as Harry Redknapp's men prepare to tackle the reigning champions once again.
Summer signing Van Der Vaart, who has made a huge impact following his £8million arrival from Real Madrid, limped out of Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Manchester United with a hamstring injury 13 minutes from time.
And midfielder Huddlestone has been suffering from a groin problem which forced him to miss the Old Trafford reverse having already sat out the 1-1 draw at home to Everton on 23rd October.
But the duo were both in training with Tottenham on Monday, raising hopes that they could be involved against Rafa Benitez's side in midweek.
Playmaker Van der Vaart missed the thrilling 4-3 reverse at Giuseppe Meazza two weeks ago through suspension, while Huddlestone has not featured since the defeat to the Serie A giants.
Bale
Gareth Bale, whose stunning late hat-trick gave 10-man Tottenham hope of an improbable comeback against Inter, knows they cannot afford to give the visitors another helping hand.
Shell-shocked Spurs were 4-0 down inside the opening 35 minutes of their previous encounter, with goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes having been dismissed with just eight minutes on the clock.
"In recent years we've made White Hart Lane a difficult place for teams to come to and we don't want that to be any different against Inter," Bale told the club's official website.
"We'll go into it with a lot of confidence from the game in Milan, hopefully having 11 men throughout and hopefully not starting as poorly as we did.
"We want to give it a go. They are the European champions, we want to test ourselves against the best and it doesn't come much bigger than this.
"Inter show the qualities that every top team shows. They keep the ball well and they've got world-class players. We're fully aware of that.
"But we have players who can do damage as well and they'll have to worry about us as well."
