Charlie Adam extends Stoke contract until 2017 Charlie Adam has signed a new contract at Stoke. The Scotland midfielder has been given a one-year extension to his previous deal, which was due to expire at the end of next season. The new contract also includes the option of a further year, and Adam tweeted: "Delighted to have signed a new contract with Stoke City." Chief Executive Tony Scholes said: "We are delighted that Charlie has decided to extend his stay with us.
"It's clear to see he's enjoying playing under the management of Mark Hughes and feels at home at the Britannia Stadium.
"Charlie is a big fans' favourite and I'm sure they will be pleased as we are that he is staying for at least another two years, if not longer."
Adam, a 2012 signing from Liverpool, scored five goals in eight games at the end of last season including one from his own half at Chelsea.
