Julio Cesar: Plenty of move rumours, but no transfer agreed as yet
Julio Cesar remains on the books of Queens Park Rangers for now, but admits 'a lot can happen' before the transfer window slams shut.
The Brazil international has been heavily linked with a return to Serie A this summer, just 12 months after leaving Inter Milan for Loftus Road.
Relegation out of the Premier League with QPR has forced him to reconsider his future, with it important for him to be playing at the highest possible level - as he takes aim at a home World Cup in 2014.
Arsenal are also reported to be keen on acquiring the 33-year-old goalkeeper, offering him the chance to remain in England, but no deal has been put in place there either.
Cesar is reluctant to be drawn on where he could end up before 2nd September, with his focus having shifted to an international friendly date with Switzerland on Wednesday.
He told Globo Esporte: "I am still a Queens Park Rangers player. A lot can happen before the end of August.
"At the moment my focus is on the national team and I am looking forward to seeing my team-mates again."
One club Cesar definitely will not be joining before the window closes is Fiorentina, with the Italian outfit having ruled themselves out of the running for financial reasons.
Sporting director Daniele Prade told Viola Channel: "We can dismiss the Julio Cesar option. That is because the transfer is not feasible.
"We are happy with the two goalkeepers who we have right now and we are evaluating things on a daily basis."
