Ex-Brazil ace Adriano '99 per cent' certain to join Le Havre Former Brazil ace Adriano has revealed that he is "99 per cent" certain to resurrect his playing career at Le Havre. The 32-year-old striker has been without a club since having his contract with Atletico Paranaense terminated by the Brasileirao outfit in April. However, Adriano, whose once-stellar career has been marked by fitness problems and off-field issues in recent years, is now set to attempt another comeback, this time in France's second division.
“I'm 99% sure I will play at Le Havre," the ex-Inter striker told Telefoot.
"I had some problems in the past, I made some mistakes, but the joy I feel with a ball on a football pitch is stronger than anything else.
"I don’t care where I play, as long as I’m playing.”
Adriano first came to prominence with Flamengo, earning a move to Inter in 2001.
The powerful attacker failed to make a major impact in his first stint at the Giuseppe Meazza but, after a prolific two-season spell at Parma, he rejoined the Nerazzurri in 2004 and quickly established himself as one of the best strikers in world football.
However, after signing a new contract with the San Siro side the following year, his work ethic and his alleged fondness for the Milan nightlife led to clashes with then coach Roberto Mancini.
Adriano, who scored 27 times in 48 appearances for Brazil, was loaned to Sao Paulo in 2008 and eventually sold to Flamengo the following year.
He returned to Italy in 2010, with Roma, but did not last long at the Stadio Olimpico and has spent the last three years moving from club to club.
