Yakubu seals shock transfer deadline day move to Reading 
The best deal of transfer deadline day 2015 has been already been sealed with veteran striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni reportedly set to return to England with Reading. The former Portsmouth, Everton and Middlesbrough striker had been plying his trade in Qatar for Al Rayyan, but is understood to be joining the Royals on a short-term contract until the end of the season.
Reading had been in the market for Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray, but have turned to Yakubu after their advances were blocked by the Eagles.
The 32-year-old Nigeria international will now team up with Pavel Pogrebnyak in the Berkshire club’s strike-force as new manager Steve Clarke looks to kick-start their season.
