Former Villarreal and Real Madrid manager Manuel Pellegrini is in discussions with Liverpool, his representative has confirmed.The Chilean boss has been out of work since being sacked by Madrid at the end of last season after failing to guide them to success in La Liga and the Champions League.
Reports in England on Thursday stated Pellegrini was a serious candidate to take over from Rafael Benitez at Liverpool, and his agent has now revealed there is more to it than just paper talk.
"We are evaluating the move and will soon have a new meeting to better establish the details of this deal," Marco Piccioli told The Sun.Kenny Dalglish, who is working with the Reds' academy, and Fulham boss Roy Hodgson are the other two serious canditates to assume the reigns at Anfield.
