Chelsea midfielder Ramires on verge of stunning £25m switch to Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning

• Ramires is expected to complete a deal that will see him move to China
• Super League side Jiangsu Suning are willing to pay £25million to sign him
• Midfielder had only featured once for the Blues since the turn of the year
• Ramires joined Chelsea from Benfica for £18million in the summer of 2010

Chelsea midfielder Ramires is expected to join Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning for a fee of around £25million.
The Barclays Premier League champions paid £18million for Ramires in 2010, and he signed a new four-year deal in October.
But the Brazilian, 28, has not started in the Premier League since the 2-1 defeat by Leicester City on December 14.

He had attracted interest from European heavyweights including Bayern Munich and PSG but the Chinese outfit appear to have won the race.
Ramires would join a growing list of Brazilians plying their trade in China, including former Tottenham midfielder Paulinho, under ex-Blues boss Felipe Scolari.
And he would be managed by former Chelsea midfielder Dan Petrescu, who has been in charge of Jiangsu since last July.

The Blues are rebuilding for the future, freeing up cash to spend on new talent after their woeful title defence this season culminated in manager Jose Mourinho being sacked.
Papy Djilobodji has already been allowed to leave Stamford Bridge on loan and Loic Remy could join him, if the club find a replacement.
Alexandre Pato is expected to join from Brazilian side Corinthians in the bid for more firepower as the club, under Guus Hiddink, attempt to salvage what the can from their domestic campaign.
Pato scored 63 goals in 150 games during six years at AC Milan where he lifted the Serie A title in 2011, before returning to Brazil three years ago.

Jiangsu, the arrival of Ramires from Chelsea

Brazilian midfielder Ramires is on the verge of completing a deal to join Jiangsu.
The Chinese club have met with the player at their pre-season training camp in Malaga and it seems its just a formality before he puts pen to paper on a deal with them. Ramires is on his way to China.

Chelsea's Ramires is close to a £25m move to Chinese side Jiangsu Suning.
The 28-year-old Brazil midfielder, signed from Benfica for about £17m in 2010, agreed a new four-year deal in October but has only started seven Premier League games this season.
Jiangsu finished ninth in China's top tier in 2015 and are managed by former Blues defender Dan Petrescu.
Ramires has helped the Blues win the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League and Europa League.
