Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce hoping to clinch Ryan Fraser deal over the weekendThe former AFC Bournemouth man is to hold face to face talks with Bruce
Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce is hoping to persuade Ryan Fraser to complete a move to St James' Park. The former AFC Bournemouth player is available on a free transfer and is believed to have arrived in the city to hold talks with the Toon boss.
As reported by Chronicle Live this week, Newcastle have been pushing the Scotland international for an answer after chasing him for a number of weeks. But Fraser wants to have a face to face discussion with Bruce on a deal with the winger also interesting other sides, including Celtic and Everton. If Bruce can pull off the Fraser deal it could see Jacob Murphy granted a loan move to Sheffield Wednesday.
United's only business of the window so far has been free transfer arrivals Jeff Hendrick and Mark Gillespie.
A move for Callum Wilson remains in the air with Aston Villa also pushing for his signature and seeing a £15million bid turned down.
Wilson's agent put together a proposal which would see Matt Ritchie head the other way but the winger is torn on the move.
