St John’s College student Bellamy captained Wales – just like his dad – in his first game for the Wales development squad.
Ellis, who is in the Newport County youth development system, was one of two players from Cardiff and the Vale County schoolboys – along with Aaron Davies – involved in Wales development squads.
Aaron, from Llanedeyrn High School, plays at Bristol City and is in the Wales Under-13 squad, while Bellamy played for the Wales Under-14 development squad against Wales Under-16 girls.......

The 14-year-old, described by Speed’s former assistant Osian Roberts as a midfielder who ‘reminds me so much of Gary as a player’, will be joined in the squad by Ellis Bellamy, the son of Liverpool and Wales striker Craig — a close friend of his late father.
Speed Jnr is part of the academy at Wrexham and will join 28 youngsters for a four-day training camp in Cardiff on Tuesday.
He came to prominence last week when he delivered an emotional speech to the Wales squad following the memorial match against Costa Rica in honour of his father.
Roberts said: ‘Ed is a phenomenal kid and he reminds me so much of Gary as a player.
‘You can imagine the influence his father had upon him. He’s probably more professional than full-time players now.
‘You would like to think there is something in the genes. I’ve got great hopes for Ed.’
Bellamy Jnr, who scored a hat-trick on his debut for Wales Under 14s, plays for Cardiff City’s academy. Roberts said: ‘Both are exciting talents with great potential.’
