What way are we going?
Very difficult to say. They might want to imitate Barca. Put in a Barca DoF in Bequiristain, then a Barca/Cruijff like coach in (who knows): Rijkaard, Ten Cate, Guardiola, Enrique or even van Gaal. Then start by asking old players like Fowler, Barnes, Hyypia, Hamann, McManaman and others to get a role in the academy. Borell to teach them the ropes and continuity through old players where the youth look upto and can teach them in the positions they played at. Individual performances in front of the teams performances and the goal to promote 2-3 players every 2 years into the first team. And the old-players top run the club in the end by promoting into positions as the DoF and head coach, assistent etcetera.
But we could also go the other way, back to Benitez or other coaches like van Marwijk, Capello and more conservative tactical coaches.
