The Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to a new contract with Tony Allen.

Allen was signed by the Grizzlies in 2010 and instantly became a key member of a Grizzlies' team that made multiple playoff runs.

Kings make $56 million offer to Andre Iguodala


The Sacramento Kings are pursuing Andre Iguodala with a four-year, $56 million offer, making them the frontrunner to sign the Denver Nuggets free-agent forward, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.


Kings general manager Pete D'Alessandro recently leftthe Nuggets front office to become Sacramento's top executive and he'spushing hard to convince Iguodala to be a cornerstone for the franchise.Iguodala, 29, has an initial five-year offer to return to theNuggets, but it is below the Kings' unexpectedly aggressive bid for him,league sources told Y! Sports. The $14 million-a-year offer is a steepprice for Iguodala in this marketplace, and it is possible that the Nuggets won't go that high to hold onto him.

The Memphis Grizzlies have signed Jon Leuer to a three-year, $3 million contract.

Leuer played 28 games between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Memphis Grizzlies last season.

Manu Ginobili gets two-year, $14 million deal from Spurs


Manu Ginobili's two-year agreement with the San Antonio Spurs will pay him $14 million, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Ginobili revealed on Twitter that he had agreed to a two-year deal to likely finish his career with San Antonio, and league sources told Y! Sports the contract will pay him $7 million per season.

Ginobili, who turns 36 on July 28, averaged 11.8 points and 4.6 assists in 60 games last season. He was won three championships with the Spurs and helped them advance to last season's NBA Finals against the Miami Heat.

Taken with the 57th overall pick of the 1999 NBA draft, Ginobili has spent his entire NBA career with the Spurs.

Celtics Hire Brad Stevens

BOSTON -- The Boston Celtics have hired Butler's Brad Stevens as head coach.

The team and the university made the announcement Wednesday afternoon. He will be introduced at a news conference on Friday morning.

Stevens has spent the past six years as the head coach of Butler, twice leading the Bulldogs to the NCAA championship game.

Stevens replaces Doc Rivers, who was acquired by the Los Angeles Clippers.

"Brad and I share a lot of the same values," Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said. "Though he is young, I see Brad as a great leader who leads with impeccable character and a strong work ethic. His teams always play hard and execute on both ends of the court. Brad is a coach who has already enjoyed lots of success, and I look forward to working with him toward Banner 18."

Stevens, who led Butler to two consecutive appearances in the NCAA championship game, had extended his contract with the Bulldogs through 2021-22.

"Our family is thrilled for the opportunity given to us by the leadership of the Boston Celtics, but it is emotional to leave a place that we have called home for the past 13 years," Stevens said.

Stevens led the Bulldogs to a 166-49 record, including a 12-5 record in the NCAA tournament. Stevens also earned four conference regular-season championships, three league tournament titles and six trips to postseason tournament play. His 166 wins are the most for any NCAA Division I basketball coach over the first six years to start a career.

Butler is set to enter its first year as a member of the reconfigured Big East.

Sources: Hawks, Kyle Korver agree



The Atlanta Hawks are hanging onto one of this summer's most coveted free agents.

Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com on Wednesday night that Kyle Korver has agreed to terms on a four-year deal with the Hawks worth an estimated $24 million.

Korver was wooed by several teams in search of a sharpshooter, most notably Milwaukee, San Antonio and Brooklyn.

The Nets, though, were limited to offering a three-year deal worth just under $10 million to Korver, who also received a three-year offer from the Bucks worth an estimated $21 million that sources said he turned down.
