Roberto di Matteo is sweating on the fitness of six key players ahead of Chelsea's Champions League clash with Benfica.
Branislav Ivanovic is the biggest doubt for the second leg at Stamford Bridge after he was sent for a scan on his hamstring on Monday.
Daniel Sturridge, Ashley Cole and Didier Drogba all missed training at Cobham with injury concerns. Drogba is believed to have injured his toe.
Goalkeeper Petr Cech skipped some of the session and Frank Lampard was also given treatment at the training ground.
The interim Chelsea chief did not want to risk any of them aggravating their injuries in training yesterday and opted to send them for treatment instead as a precaution.
The club will also pursue further talks with the FA about the 6pm kick-off time of their FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham, citing concerns that rival fans will have the chance to drink all day.
