Official: Lazio sign Marius Stankevicius, Abdoulay Konko, Senad Lulic & Federico Marchetti

Serie A club serious about strengthening squad for 2011-12 campaign as they capture four players who arrive to add weight to Edy Reja's side

Lazio have announced the arrival of four players as the Rome-based side continue to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

Full-back Abdoulay Konko has joined from Genoa while goalkeeper Federico Marchetti arrives from Cagliari. Senad Lulic comes from Swiss club Young Boys, and Marius Stankevicius moves to Rome from Sampdoria.

A statement on the club's official website on Monday reads: "S.S Lazio communicates to have signed Senad Lulic, Abdoulay Konko and Federico Marchetti.

"S.S Lazio also communicates the permanent acquisition of Marius Stankevicius from Sampdoria."

Following the confirmation of the four players, Tuttomercatoweb.com reports Djibril Cisse may be the latest arrival for Edy Reja's men.

The Panathinaikos striker is expected to sign with Lazio this week.

Per Mertesacker admits he could leave Werder Bremen for Premier League club

Germany international is waiting to see what happens before making a final decision over his future with just one year remaining on his current deal

Per Mertesacker admits leaving Werder Bremen for England could be an option following the announcement his contract may not be renewed.

The 26-year-old Germany defender is tied to Werder until June 2012, but last week the club's general manager Klaus Allofs said budgetary constraints would make extensions hard to push through.

And Mertesacker is waiting to see how developments in Germany unfold before making a final decision over his future following his recent troubles with injury.

"I have another year on my contract with Werder, so we'll have to see what happens," he told Fifa.com.

"Taking a long-term view, the English Premier League is the more appealing option. The Bundesliga has steadily improved in recent years, but England and Spain are still ahead, because that's where you find any number of top clubs.

"I'm not ruling anything out, but it is extremely attractive. Moving abroad brings you on both as a player and a person."

Mertesacker has been with the Bremen-based club since 2006 when he joined from Hannover.

Official: Malaga sign Isco from Valencia on five-year deal

Teenager follows Joaquin as he becomes the latest player to arrive from the Mestalla and has signed a long-term contract with the Rosaleda outfit

Malaga have announced the arrival of Isco from Valencia, as the 19-year-old midfielder has signed a five-year deal.

In a statement released on Monday, Malaga said Isco had agreed to pen a contract until 2016 after the club reached an agreement with Valencia.

"Francisco Alarcon Suarez 'Isco' has joined the Andalucian club following an agreement between Malaga and Valencia. He has signed for five years," reads an extract of the note published on their official website.

Malaga also said the release clause for the Spain Under-20 international was set at ?20 million for the first season, and would rise to ?24m by the fifth term.

The clubs did not release details regarding transfer fee or wages, but it is reported that ?6m will be paid for the Malaga native.

Wesley Sneijder wants to stay at Inter - Gian Piero Gasperini

Dutchman wants to stay at San Siro, says his boss who performs a U-turn on the player's future in Milan amid reported interest from Spanish and English teams

Inter coach Gian Piero Gasperini believes Wesley Sneijder wants to remain at the club this summer, just a week after claiming the midfielder's future was uncertain.

"Sneijder is here and he wants to stay. The approach [to pre-season] has been very positive," the 53-year-old told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Gasperini's comments come just 24 hours after the playmaker's agent Soren Lerby said there was no concrete interest from English clubs.

The Dutchman has been linked with Premier League champions Manchester United, while Fifa agent Ernesto Bronzetti recently claimed Spanish side Malaga had made a ?35 million bid for the former Real Madrid man.

The Inter coach went on to reveal that he is content with his current squad, saying: "This team is very strong and we are equipped in every department. It is practically complete," said Gasperini.

Speaking of the arrival of Jonathan from Santos, the coach added: "I think it's imminent and it will be the club who confirms it."

Jonathan, a 25-year-old defender, will reportedly arrive in a ?3.5 million deal and is seen as a successor to Maicon who has been tipped to leave the club.
