"I don't think it was that serious," Wijnaldum said of the Barca speculation. "Otherwise you would have read a bit more, or more would have happened.

"There was nothing precise. The way it looks now, I will stay in Liverpool.

"My contract is valid for another 10 months and that can change. You never know in football. We will see what happens."

Liverpool made a new contract offer to Wijnaldum few weeks ago. The proposal has not been accepted yet.

Gini wants to reflect. And to pay respect to the club, he will give priority and communicate his decision to #LFC before negotiating with other clubs as a free agent.
