"I think it could be just a yellow card," said Mido, who was devastated to be sent off.
"I went for the long ball from Paul Robinson. I didn't elbow the guy.
"It would be different if I had tried to elbow him or tried to hurt him.
"I was too late to the header so I put my hand up between my head and his head or it would have been a bad concussion.
"So I put my hand in, with a little push, and I think it should not be a red card.
"I think Martin Jol's opinion is the same as mine. In the first minute John Terry elbowed me in the back of the head but we accept it.
"After the red card the game was killed. I think we were much better before the sending off."
