Bynum suffers another setback

News: 76ers center Andrew Bynum told reporters Friday that he has suffered another setback in his recovery from a knee injury, this time in his other knee. Bynum said that he now has "cartilage degradation" in both knees, along with bone bruises. He said that he was overcompensating from the injury in his right knee while working out and suffered damage in the left knee. It is not clear whether Bynum's timeline for recovery has been pushed back, however he did say that he just has to rest in order to get better.
Analysis: Earlier in the week, we found out that Bynum would not be able to begin conditioning for at least another three weeks, so it is not clear how Bynum suffered this latest injury. Bynum has not played since last May, so even if his knees recover quickly, he is probably not in game shape. Bynum’s previous timetable was a return to the court by Dec. 10, followed by 1-4 weeks of additional work to get into game shape, but this news makes that look doubtful. Bynum is one of the most productive centers in the league, when healthy, so Fantasy owners just have to keep him stashed in all formats until he can return.
