Oxlade-Chamberlain to start
Arsenal winger gets the chance to play against France
Sky Sports sources understand Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been included in the England side to face France in their Euro 2012 opener.
Liverpool's Stewart Downing had widely been expected to take the role on the left of midfield, but instead Roy Hodgson has gone with the Arsenal man.
It will be Oxlade-Chamberlain's second start for his country, but his first ever appearance in a competitive match.
The other issues also resolved see Manchester City's James Milner on the right of midfield ahead of Theo Walcott, and up-front Danny Welbeck is preferred to Andy Carroll.
The back five is as expected with Joe Hart, Glen Johnson, Ashley Cole, John Terry and Joleon Lescott.
The centre midfield is Scott Parker alongside captain Steven Gerrard.
