Jordan Farmar agrees with Lakers


LOS ANGELES -- Jordan Farmar has agreed to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, the veteran guard told ESPNLosAngeles.com Tuesday night.

The sides agreed to a one-year, veteran minimum deal worth approximately $1 million. L.A. must first negotiate a buyout with Farmar's club in Turkey, Anadolu Efes, which is believed to be in the $500,000 range. The buyout does not count against the salary cap, an important detail to the luxury tax-laden Lakers.

The deal required a significant financial sacrifice by Farmar to be completed. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound guard signed a three-year, $10.5 million deal last summer to play in the Turkish Basketball League.

Brewer was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2007.

Robert Sacre Re-Signs With Lakers For Guaranteed Multi-Year Deal

Robert Sacre has re-signed with the Los Angeles Lakers on a fully guaranteed, multi-year contract, a league source told RealGM.

The Lakers extended Sacre a qualifying offer before free agency, and both sides wanted a return beyond that one season proposal.

Sacre, the 24-year-old center, was selected by the Lakers with the 60th overall pick in last year's draft, and he averaged 1.3 points and 1.1 rebounds in 32 games as a rookie – mostly serving as insurance in the frontcourt and an active presence in practices.

Chauncey Billups returns to Pistons on two-year deal


Nearly a decade after resurrecting the franchise and leading it to an NBA championship, Chauncey Billups has reached agreement on a two-year contract to return to the Detroit Pistons, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

    The deal will be worth $5 million-plus for Billups, league sources said.
