World Cup 2014: Everton's Tim Howard in provisional USA squad Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard is one of four Premier League players named in the USA's provisional 30-man squad for this summer's World Cup. The 35-year-old Howard, who has 97 international caps, made 37 appearances for the Toffees in the 2013-14 season.
Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan, Sunderland striker Jozy Alitdore and Stoke defender Geoff Cameron are also in Jurgen Klinsmann's squad. Each nation's final 23 must be submitted to Fifa by 2 June.
"We had some difficult decisions to make, and we are very excited about the 30 players coming into camp," Klinsmann said.
"There is competition in every position, and these next couple of weeks will allow us to make the final determinations on the best 23-man unit to represent the United States in the World Cup."
The players will report to a pre-World Cup camp in California on Wednesday.
