Bernabeu poised for Kroos-day this Thursday



Fresh off winning the World Cup in Brazil, Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos will become Real Madrid's first signing of the 2014-15 season this week.
The 24-year-old will be unveiled at the Bernabeu on Thursday, when he will put pen to paper on his contract with the European champions,
who are bidding to strengthen their squad with a view to mounting a defence of the Champions League title they won in Lisbon.
Kroos will pitch up in Madrid after starring for Joachim Low's superb Germany side,
who clinched the country's fourth World Cup in thrilling fashion on Sunday night with a 1-0 win over Argentina at the Maracana.
The dynamo played a key role in making 'Die Mannschaft' tick in the middle of the park and also made a major contribution going forward.
The midfielder will be Real Madrid's first recruit of the summer (leaving aside Fernando Hierro's return to become Carlo Ancelotti's assistant)
and will head off for a short holiday straight after being unveiled. He should make his competitive 'Los Blancos' debut in the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla on 12th August in Cardiff.

Toni Kroos lands in Mallorca ahead of Real Madrid move

German international midfielder, Toni Kroos wrapped up the 2014 World Cup celebrations in Berlin on Tuesday,
where he was showered with praise from the thousands in attendance, before jettisoning off to Mallorca on Tuesday evening, ahead of his move to Real Madrid on Thursday.



According to Spanish sports daily, AS, Kroos arrived in Mallorca, with his girlfriend Jessica Farber

and one-year-old son Leon 20:00 on a private jet, before driving to his home and arriving at 21:05.

Kroos’ day started with the parade around the streets of Berlin to celebrate their World Cup triumph, before travelling to Munich and landing at 17:00.

There, he said his emotional goodbyes to Karl Heinz Rummenigge,and his fellow Bayern Munich teammates, Lahm, Schweinsteiger and Muller as he leaves the club for Madrid.

Kroos flew to Mallorca in the same clothes he wore to the parade and will now wait for Real Madrid to officially announce his transfer from Bayern Munich

and is set to leave Mallorca at a moments notice to be presented at the Santiago Bernabeu, before finally going on a much-deserved holiday.

Real Madrid finalise thirty million euro Kroos deal
An agreement between Real and Bayern has been reached. The player will earn six million euros a year.

The signing of Toni Kroos by Real Madrid has been finalised, as well as the terms of the transfer.
The recently crowned world cup winner will leave Bayern Munich for 30 million euros and head to the Spanish capital where he will earn six million euros a year.
He is signing for five years, and his presentation is planned for this Thursday at 5pm.

Kroos’ contract with Bayern finished in 2015 and had he reached that date with the club he could have left on a free transfer, something the German club weren’t willing to do.
By selling him now, “we don’t lose a player for free in a year’s time”, said club managing director Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
