Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says Alexis Sanchez will be back in the squad for the visit of Leicester on Tuesday.

The Chilean forward missed Saturday’s 2-1 derby defeat at Spurs with a hamstring strain but is in contention to start against the Premier League’s bottom club.

However, Wenger also reported that England man Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be out for another two weeks.

Wenger said on Monday morning: "Sanchez will be back in the group and we don't have any injuries from Saturday. Everybody looked fine yesterday.

"Alexis is our best goal scorer and one of our hardest working players. Physically, I think we suffered a little bit on some occasions on Saturday and it is good to have him back."

Boss' latest on Adam, Philippe and Raheem

Liverpool will assess the availability of Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana and Raheem Sterling ahead of Tuesday night's Anfield clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

Coutinho was withdrawn 56 minutes into the Merseyside derby on Saturday, while Sterling departed eight minutes before the end of a goalless draw with Everton.

Lallana, meanwhile, was not named in the squad for the short trip to Goodison Park, and Brendan Rodgers provided details on their respective conditions.

The boss said: "Phil Coutinho had a knock on his knee and Raheem had a knock on his foot. We had fresh players on the bench to bring on and hopefully they will be fit for Tuesday."

On Lallana specifically, the Northern Irishman added: "We need to see how he is but he has a big possibility for Tuesday."
