GK: cheap GK look better value than expensive ones. Would avoid the 6.0 and 5.5, even Pope who has more downside than upside
So far, I like Ryan at 4.5. Chelsea & Arsenal keepers to monitor
DEF:
Cheap (4.0 to 4.5) : a lot of good candidates. Would want 3 or 4 of them depending on who would end up being nailed on.
Mid price (5.0 to 5.5): some OK options but not that many.
Premium (> 6.0): TAA good value, interested in VVD too. Alonso or Azpi to monitor
MID (1/2):
Cheap (4.5 to 6.0): no real assets atm between 4.5 and 6.0.
Mid price (6.5 to 7.5): LOTS of decent assets, especially at 6.5 (traore, jota, lallana) and 7.0 (grealish, maddison, mount, lucas moura). At 7.5, greenwood is eye catching.
Could own 2 to 3 mid price mid
MID (2/2):
Cheap Premium (8.0 to 10.5): like Rashford at 9.5, but not a lot of good options. To monitor Ziyech 8.0 or Son at 9.0. Only 3 players between 9.0 and 10.5, a trap price bracket
Premium (> 10.5 ): 6 assets, all good value. Pick the 2 in form or/and with good fixtures
FORWARDS (1/2):
Bench: 4.5 to 5.5, no real playing attackers atm. Bamford at 5.5 a solution but not sure he has the PL level
Medium (6.0 to 7.0): lots of value there. Mitrovic, Antonio, Wood, Maupay, Calvert Lewin. Easy to own 2 in that price bracket.
FORWARDS (2/2):
Cheap Premium (7.5 to 9.0): Jimenez good value for that price and consistency. Martial and Ings could be options
Premium (>9.5: Werner attractive at 9.5. Kane amazing value if you can fit him in somehow. Vardy to monitor. Pick Jesus or Aguero if one if injured
Conclusion (1/2): template seems to be looking at heavy midfielders for good reasons, as lots of choice in both premium midfielders and cheap forwards.
Premium forwards however are not that expensive (Kane, Werner, Vardy) and at start of the season, MCI and MU mids are out

Question is do you prefer :
(i) 2 premium mid + 1 or 2 premium fwd + cheap defense, or
(ii) 3 premium mid + 0 premium fwd + cheap defense, or
(iii) 2 premium mid + 0 premium fwd+ expensive defense
Fixtures and early form will give us more color but like (i)
